What is CVE-2024-58368?

Earlier versions of SurrealDB (prior to 1.1.0) are susceptible to a denial of service attack due to inadequate parsing of ID, DB, and NS headers in HTTP REST API requests. Attackers can send specially crafted HTTP requests with malformed header values, leading to an uncaught exception that crashes the server. This vulnerability highlights the importance of input validation and error handling in web applications.
