What is CVE-2024-58369?

SurrealDB versions prior to 1.1.1 are vulnerable due to inadequate validation of custom parameters and function invocations at both root and namespace levels. This oversight allows authorized users to exploit these functionalities, leading to server panic and potential service disruption. Attackers can deliberately trigger conditions that cause the SurrealDB server to crash, thereby resulting in denial of service and affecting overall availability.
