What is CVE-2024-6326?

A vulnerability in the Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk® System Service could allow a malicious user to exploit backup and restore processes, exposing sensitive data such as private keys, passwords, and database folders. This issue arises from the absence of explicit permissions on the backup folder, leading to potential unauthorized access to critical network resources. If exploited, attackers may be able to impersonate legitimate resources within the secured network, posing significant risks to data integrity and security.
