A malformed 802.15.4 packet can trigger a buffer overflow within Silicon Labs' Simplicity Studio, resulting in an assertion failure and subsequent denial of service condition. Upon detection, a watchdog reset is automatically initiated to mitigate the fault, but the underlying issue remains critical to address to ensure system stability and security.
