What is CVE-2024-6781?

A path traversal vulnerability exists in Calibre versions 7.14.0 and earlier, which allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server. This vulnerability arises due to improper sanitization of user inputs, leading to the potential exposure of sensitive data. Attackers can exploit this flaw by crafting specific requests that navigate the file system, allowing access to files outside of the intended directory structure.
