What is CVE-2024-6988?

A use after free vulnerability has been identified in the Downloads functionality of Google Chrome on iOS. Prior to version 127.0.6533.72, this vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption by leveraging a specially crafted HTML page. As a result, users may face increased risks, leading to possible arbitrary code execution or unwanted actions within the browser environment.
