What is CVE-2024-6995?
A vulnerability exists in Google Chrome on Android that enables attackers to exploit inappropriate implementation in the fullscreen feature. This allows them to manipulate the browser's interface, specifically the Omnibox, through crafted HTML pages. By convincing users to execute defined UI gestures, an attacker could display deceptive content in the URL bar, potentially leading to phishing attacks and other security risks.
