Improper Privilege Management in open-webui by open-webui
CVE-2024-7039
6.7MEDIUM
What is CVE-2024-7039?
The open-webui application, specifically version v0.3.8, is susceptible to an improper privilege management vulnerability that allows attackers impersonating administrators to delete other admin users directly via the API. While the user interface imposes restrictions, these can be bypassed through crafted API calls to the endpoint http://0.0.0.0:8080/api/v1/users/{uuid_administrator}, posing a significant threat to application security and administrative control.
