What is CVE-2024-8093?

The Posts Reminder WordPress plugin, prior to version 0.20, lacks proper Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) checks during the settings update process. This vulnerability potentially allows attackers to exploit the absence of CSRF protections to manipulate settings without proper authorization. An attacker might exploit this flaw to alter settings by crafting a malicious request that targets a logged-in admin, presenting a significant risk to the integrity of a WordPress site using this plugin.
