What is CVE-2024-8487?

A Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) vulnerability has been identified in Modelscoep's Agentscope version v0.0.4. This issue arises from the improper configuration of CORS on the Agentscope server, which fails to adequately limit access to trusted origins. As a result, any external domain can send requests to the API, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive data and exposing the system to further exploitation risks. Such vulnerabilities can severely compromise the integrity and confidentiality of the affected systems and users.
