What is CVE-2024-8641?

A security issue in GitLab CE and EE has been identified, where an attacker with access to a victim's CI_JOB_TOKEN could potentially retrieve the GitLab session token belonging to the victim. This vulnerability affects all versions from 13.7 before 17.1.7, from 17.2 before 17.2.5, and from 17.3 before 17.3.2. Steps are being taken to mitigate the risk associated with this vulnerability by implementing security patches and improving the overall security architecture.
