What is CVE-2024-9246?
An information disclosure vulnerability exists in Foxit PDF Reader which is caused by improper validation of user-supplied data in Annotation objects. This flaw enables remote attackers to access sensitive information by getting users to open malicious files or visit compromised web pages. If successfully exploited, it allows for reading beyond the bounds of allocated memory, exposing potentially sensitive data. This vulnerability could be chained with other vulnerabilities, possibly leading to arbitrary code execution in the affected process.
