What is CVE-2024-9256?
An information disclosure vulnerability exists in Foxit PDF Reader related to the handling of AcroForms. Attackers can exploit this flaw by persuading users to open a malicious PDF file or visit an infected web page. The vulnerability emerges from inadequate validation of user-supplied input, permitting unauthorized read operations beyond the allocated buffer limits. This could enable attackers to access sensitive information stored within the application and, when combined with other vulnerabilities, may lead to arbitrary code execution within the user's context.
