What is CVE-2024-9498?

The USBXpress SDK is susceptible to DLL hijacking due to an uncontrolled search path in the installer. This vulnerability can enable an attacker to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges when the affected installer is run. If exploited, this could lead to significant security risks, compromising sensitive information and system integrity.
