What is CVE-2024-9677?

The insufficiently protected credentials vulnerability in the CLI command of Zyxel's USG FLEX H series uOS firmware version V1.21 and earlier can be exploited by an authenticated local attacker. This weakness may enable the attacker to perform privilege escalation by stealing the authentication token from a logged-in administrator. If the administrator remains logged in, the risk of unauthorized access increases significantly, compromising the integrity and security of the device.
