What is CVE-2024-9745?
A vulnerability exists in Tungsten Automation Power PDF related to the parsing of TIF files, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The flaw arises from insufficient validation of the length of user-supplied data before copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. This vulnerability requires user interaction; an attacker must either lure the victim to a malicious webpage or persuade them to open a malicious file. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized actions performed within the context of the application.
