What is CVE-2025-11468?

The email module in Python allows for the injection of malicious headers due to improper handling of long comments in email headers. Specifically, when folding a long comment that contains only unfoldable characters, parentheses may not be preserved, leading to potential header injection attacks. This vulnerability occurs when user-controlled addresses are not adequately sanitized, enabling attackers to manipulate email messages.
