What is CVE-2025-12838?
The vulnerability allows local attackers to exploit the restore functionality of MSP360 Free Backup by creating a junction, leading to arbitrary file creation. An attacker must first run low-privileged code on the system and require admin interaction to escalate privileges, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM-level permissions.
