User Authorization Flaw in Keycloak Affecting Organization Assignments
CVE-2025-1391

5.4MEDIUM

What is CVE-2025-1391?

A security flaw has been identified in Keycloak related to how organizations are assigned to users. This vulnerability arises when a user's username or email aligns with an organization’s domain pattern, leading to potential misassignments at the mapper level. As a result, tokens generated may misrepresent a user's actual affiliations. Should applications depend on these claims for user authorization, there is a risk that users could inadvertently gain access or privileges to organizations they do not belong to, elevating the chance for unauthorized actions within the system.
