What is CVE-2025-14413?
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in Soda PDF Desktop that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by exploiting the software's improper validation of paths when parsing CBZ files. To compromise an affected installation, an attacker needs the user to visit a malicious webpage or open an infected CBZ file. This flaw stems from insufficient path validation before executing file operations, enabling code execution in the context of the current user, which may lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data.
