Summary
A vulnerability exists in the web management interface of Cisco AsyncOS Software, impacting Cisco Secure Email Gateway and Cisco Secure Web Appliance. This weakness arises from inadequate validation of XML configuration files, permitting an authenticated, remote attacker with valid administrative credentials to perform command injection attacks. By uploading a specially crafted XML configuration file, the attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands on the host operating system with root privileges, potentially compromising the entire system.
