What is CVE-2025-20257?

A security vulnerability in the API subsystem of Cisco Secure Network Analytics Manager and Virtual Manager permits an authenticated, low-privileged attacker to generate misleading alerts and alarms. This arises from insufficient enforcement of authorization on a vulnerable API, allowing the attacker to exploit it by executing crafted API calls. Such exploitation can compromise the integrity of analytics reports, potentially masking legitimate data and introducing false alerts that may disrupt network management and security oversight.
