What is CVE-2025-20308?

A vulnerability in Cisco Spaces Connector allows authenticated, local attackers to elevate their privileges. This occurs due to insufficient restrictions in the execution of specific CLI commands. By logging into the Cisco Spaces Connector CLI as the spacesadmin user and executing a specially crafted command, an attacker can gain root access to the underlying operating system, enabling them to execute arbitrary commands. This presents significant risks, as it could lead to unauthorized access and control over the system.
