What is CVE-2025-20320?
In specific versions of Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform, a low-privileged user can exploit a path traversal vulnerability through the User Interface - Views configuration. This allows the potential for a denial of service (DoS) attack by crafting a malicious payload aimed at tricking an administrator-level user into executing a harmful request. By targeting the application's directory structure, an attacker can seek to delete arbitrary files, compromising system integrity.
