What is CVE-2025-21608?

An issue has been identified in Meshtastic, an open-source mesh networking solution, where crafted packets transmitted over MQTT can impersonate direct messages to a client node. This occurs even when the packets have not been properly decoded using public key cryptography (PKC). Users of affected firmware versions are strongly urged to upgrade to version 2.5.19 to mitigate this risk, as no known workarounds exist.
