Stored Cross-Site Scripting in WeGIA Web Manager
CVE-2025-23033
What is CVE-2025-23033?
WeGIA, an open-source web manager catering to Portuguese-speaking charitable institutions, has a significant Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw exists in the 'adicionar_situacao.php' endpoint, allowing malicious users to inject harmful scripts into the 'situacao' parameter. When these scripts are stored on the server, they execute automatically upon access to the affected page, compromising user data and browser security. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input validation and sanitization in the application, necessitating an upgrade to version 3.2.6 to mitigate the risk.
