A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Tale Blog version 2.0.5, particularly affecting the saveOptions function within the /options/save file of the Site Settings component. This flaw allows an attacker to exploit the Site Title argument, potentially leading to unauthorized actions being performed on behalf of users. As the vulnerability can be exploited remotely, it poses a significant risk to users of products from the affected versions. Despite early disclosure attempts to the vendor, no response was received. Importantly, this vulnerability exclusively impacts products that are no longer under active maintenance.
