What is CVE-2025-24892?
OpenProject, an open-source web-based project management tool, has a vulnerability where user input is not correctly sanitized in the Group Management section. Specifically, groups created with HTML script tags are rendered without proper escaping, potentially allowing for cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This flaw affects versions of OpenProject prior to 15.2.1, which users are advised to upgrade to in order to mitigate this risk. Temporary patches are also available for those unable to upgrade immediately.
