What is CVE-2025-25199?
The Go crypto backend for Windows, known as go-crypto-winnative, contained a defect where the function cng.TLS1PRF failed to release a key handle appropriately. This oversight led to a minor memory leak occurring repeatedly during its operation. A fix for this issue was implemented in commit f49c8e1379ea4b147d5bff1b3be5b0ff45792e41, and users should ensure they have upgraded to versions 1.23.6-2 or 1.22.12-2 of the Microsoft build of Go to mitigate any risks.
