What is CVE-2025-26598?
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in X.Org and Xwayland, originating from the GetBarrierDevice() function. When attempting to search for a pointer device using its device ID, the function could erroneously return the last element of a list instead of NULL if no match is found. This flaw can result in out-of-bounds memory access, potentially allowing attackers to manipulate memory and compromise system stability.
