What is CVE-2025-27146?

The matrix-appservice-irc is a Node.js bridge connecting Matrix and IRC platforms, which until version 3.0.3 is vulnerable to a flaw allowing attackers to execute arbitrary IRC commands as the authenticated user. This vulnerability enables an attacker to inject commands that are executed under their IRC identity, potentially leading to unauthorized actions within IRC channels. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 3.0.4, and all users are advised to upgrade to the latest version for mitigation.
