FragAttacks Vulnerability in IEEE P802.11 Mesh Network Protocols
CVE-2025-27558
9.1CRITICAL
What is CVE-2025-27558?
A vulnerability in the IEEE P802.11-REVme standard allows adversaries to exploit weaknesses in mesh networks protected by WPA, WPA2, or WPA3 and WEP. The flaw enables the injection of malicious frames into the network, particularly targeting devices that accept non-SSP A-MSDU frames. This vulnerability arises from an inadequate resolution of a prior issue (CVE-2020-24588), consequently exposing mesh network configurations to potential exploitation.
