What is CVE-2025-27601?

Umbraco, a popular open-source .NET content management system, has identified a serious issue within its API management package. This flaw in access controls allows authenticated users with low privileges to create and modify data type information, which should be restricted to higher-privileged users with access to the settings section. To mitigate this risk, users are encouraged to update to versions 15.2.3 or 14.3.3, as no known workarounds exist for this vulnerability.
