What is CVE-2025-27819?
A vulnerability in Apache Kafka allows for remote code execution and denial of service attacks due to improper configuration in SASL JAAS JndiLoginModule. Both the Kafka Connect API and Apache Kafka brokers are affected, allowing attackers with the AlterConfigs permission on the Kafka cluster to exploit this weakness. Mitigations have been introduced in versions 3.4.0 and later, including the disabling of sensitive login modules by default, enhancing security for users.
