What is CVE-2025-2938?

An issue has been identified in GitLab CE/EE that allows authenticated users to potentially escalate privileges by exploiting role modifications within the project access approval workflow. This vulnerability impacts versions 17.3 through 17.11.4, as well as 18.0 and 18.1 prior to their respective patched releases.
