OpenEMR, an open-source electronic health records and medical practice management application, is susceptible to a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability. The issue arises from the improper processing of the POST parameter 'hidden_subcategory', which is output directly to the user interface in the file CAMOS new.php. This oversight can be exploited by attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages, potentially compromising user data and overall security. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 7.0.3.
