What is CVE-2025-30259?

The WhatsApp cloud service prior to late 2024 is vulnerable to a sandbox protection bypass that allows crafted PDF files to execute unauthorized actions. This weakness can lead to unauthorized remote access to users' messaging applications. Threat actors have exploited this vulnerability to deploy Android malware, notably associated with a spyware campaign named BIGPRETZEL.
