A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in the Jmol plugin for Moodle LMS, allowing attackers to manipulate the query parameter in jsmol.php. This flaw enables the unauthorized reading of arbitrary files from the server's filesystem through inadequate input validation in the file_get_contents() function. As a result, attackers can potentially access sensitive information such as database credentials without requiring authentication, posing a significant risk to the integrity and confidentiality of the server's data.
