What is CVE-2025-34058?

The Hikvision Streaming Media Management Server v2.3.5 contains a critical flaw due to the use of default credentials, allowing remote attackers to authenticate and gain unauthorized access to system functionalities. This vulnerability allows attackers to exploit an arbitrary file read issue through the /systemLog/downFile.php endpoint by manipulating the fileName parameter using directory traversal techniques. Consequently, attackers could retrieve sensitive files, significantly compromising the security of the system.
