What is CVE-2025-34233?
The Vasion Print Virtual Appliance Host and Application have a vulnerability in the file_get_contents() function that allows an attacker with admin access to exploit improperly validated hostname values. By configuring malicious hostnames, they can redirect requests to harmful servers, leading to unauthorized access to internal endpoints and sensitive metadata. This flaw enables the theft of crucial cloud IAM keys and could facilitate deeper penetration into SaaS infrastructure. Although remediation has been confirmed, the timing of the patch's release remains unclear.
