What is CVE-2025-34261?

Advantech WISE-DeviceOn Server prior to version 5.4 is susceptible to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability found in the /rmm/v1/devicegroups/ endpoint. This flaw allows authenticated users to create device groups with unsanitized name and description values, enabling attackers to inject malicious scripts. These scripts execute within the browser context of users interacting with the affected device group, posing risks such as session hijacking and unauthorized actions.
