Unsafe DLL Loading Vulnerability in MailEnable by MailEnable
CVE-2025-34418
What is CVE-2025-34418?
MailEnable versions prior to 10.54 are susceptible to a vulnerability stemming from unsafe DLL loading practices. The administrative executable attempts to load the MEAIMF.DLL directly from its installation directory without proper integrity checks or a secure loading order. This flaw enables a local attacker with write permissions to place a malicious MEAIMF.DLL in the directory, which is then executed by the MailEnable process. This scenario could lead to the execution of arbitrary code with the same privileges as the MailEnable administrative executable, potentially compromising the system's security.
