What is CVE-2025-34452?

Versions of Streama from 1.10.0 to 1.10.5 are affected by a vulnerability that combines path traversal and server-side request forgery. This flaw allows authenticated attackers to exploit the subtitle download feature by manipulating user-controlled parameters to create unvalidated file paths. By using a specially crafted URL for subtitle downloads, attackers can write arbitrary files to the server’s filesystem, which may lead to serious security breaches, including remote code execution. Prompt updates are essential to mitigate these risks.

Affected Version(s)

Streama 1.10.0 <= 1.10.5

Streama commit b7c8767

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
