What is CVE-2025-37866?
A buffer alignment issue exists in the mlxbf-bootctl driver for the Linux kernel, particularly affecting the BlueField System on Chip (SOC). This vulnerability arises when the driver improperly calls 'sysfs_emit()' using a non-aligned buffer pointer, triggering warnings and indicating potential stability problems within the system. It is recommended to utilize 'sysfs_emit_at()' to correctly handle cases where non-zero offsets are involved in the destination buffer, thereby mitigating the issue.
