Vulnerability in Linux Kernel Affects Exynos4-IS Camera Mode Transition
CVE-2025-38237
Currently unrated
What is CVE-2025-38237?
A synchronization issue in the Linux kernel's Exynos4-IS module allows for changing camera modes without ensuring hardware readiness. This could lead to corrupted data and potential system hangs if subsequent operations occur before the hardware has completed its transition. To mitigate this, the function fimc_is_hw_wait_intmsr0_intmsd0() was added post mode configuration, improving hardware state synchronization and optimizing interrupt handling.
