What is CVE-2025-39746?

In the Linux kernel, a vulnerability exists in the ath10k wireless driver, affecting Qualcomm hardware. In rare situations, the ath10k may lose connection with the PCIe bus, potentially causing system crashes during recovery due to watchdog timeouts. When this issue occurs, the system attempts to restart hardware, but if consecutive failures exceed a specific threshold, the hardware is deemed unreliable, prompting the avoidance of further ath10k operations to prevent system crashes. This issue has been addressed to enhance hardware stability and reliability.
