What is CVE-2025-40649?

The Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Negotiator v3.15.2 has a vulnerability that allows for stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This occurs due to insufficient validation of user input when a POST request is made with the 'text' parameter in the endpoint '/api/v3/negotiations//posts'. Attackers could exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted data to authenticated users, potentially allowing them to access sensitive session information such as cookies.
