What is CVE-2025-41047?

A stored authenticated cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been detected in appRain CMF version 4.0.5. This flaw arises from insufficient validation of user input, specifically within the parameters 'data[Addon][layouts]' and 'data[Addon][layouts_except]' in the update functionality located at /apprain/developer/addons/update/ace. Exploiting this vulnerability may allow an authenticated attacker to inject malicious scripts, which can compromise the integrity of the application and its users.
