What is CVE-2025-41055?
A vulnerability exists in appRain CMF version 4.0.5, which allows for stored authenticated cross-site scripting (XSS). This issue arises from inadequate validation of user input in the parameters 'data[Addon][layouts]' and 'data[Addon][layouts_except]' within the /apprain/developer/addons/update/dialogs endpoint. Attackers could exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts in the browser of users who have been authenticated, potentially leading to unauthorized access and data theft.
