What is CVE-2025-41659?

A vulnerability exists in the CODESYS Control runtime system that permits low-privileged attackers to remotely access the PKI folder. This exposure allows unauthorized reading and writing of sensitive certificates and keys. As a result, attackers can extract critical data or mislead the system into accepting untrustworthy certificates as valid. While the services continue to function, the integrity of information is compromised, particularly if certificates are deleted, leading to unencrypted communications.
